Gorsky Mikhail Ivanovich

 

Born on September 7, 1948 in the village of Potapovo in the Gzhatsky (Gagarinsky) district of the Smolensk region.

 

In 1971 he graduated from the graphic arts department of the Smolensk State Pedagogical Institute.

 

In the future, he improved his skills, repeatedly working at the “Academic Dacha them. I.E. Repin" under the guidance of People's Artists of the USSR, academicians V.F. Zagonek and V.F. Tokarev.

 

Since 1991 - a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.

 

Awarded with diplomas of the All-Russian creative public organization "Union of Artists of Russia" (Ukrainian Union of Artists), Smolensky regional branch of the Union of Artists of Russia and other honorary diplomas and prizes.

 

He combined independent creative practice with the professional work of an artist in various organizations in the city of Smolensk, in particular, in the Smolensk art and production workshops of the RSFSR Artistic Fund. He was engaged in teaching activities, led the art studio of the city Palace of Pioneers (1972-1975).

 

In his work, he developed the principles of the Russian artistic landscape realistic school based on his own lyrical and poetic worldview.

 

Since 1973, he has participated in city, regional, regional, all-Russian and international exhibitions.
